Upper Chief
King · Third floor
The primary suite, with its own full bathroom, two large closets, a desk for the one person who has to work, and a Keurig for whoever wakes up first.
Three sisters, one very loved house
We're three sisters — plus our husbands, plus eight kids between us — and this house is our favourite thing we've ever done together. It sits on a quiet street in Ludlow village, which means Main Street's shops, restaurants, coffee and the liquor store are a walk away, and the Okemo base lodge is a five-minute drive.
Inside, we kept what a 1900 house does best: the original mouldings, the stained-glass window on the stair landing, the plaster walls. Then we added the parts that make a group trip actually work — a fully stocked kitchen, a mudroom with four boot-and-glove dryers, blackout shades and a sound machine in every bedroom, and an eight-person Jacuzzi on a new deck with a fire pit and string lights.
Every bedroom is named after an Okemo trail. You'll figure out which one is yours about four minutes after you walk in.
Why book here
Airbnb charges guests a service fee on top of our rate. Booking here removes it. Same house, same hosts, same beds — a few hundred dollars less on a week.
Questions about crib availability, a late check-out, or whether the driveway fits your group's cars go straight to a sister's phone. No inbox in the middle.
We set our own terms here, and they're more forgiving than the platform's. Full refund inside 48 hours, and a real sliding scale after that.
Where you'll sleep
Plus a sofa bed in the sitting room, a crib and pack 'n play on request, and a child's air mattress in the Sidewinder closet.

King · Third floor
The primary suite, with its own full bathroom, two large closets, a desk for the one person who has to work, and a Keurig for whoever wakes up first.

Full · Second floor
Custom barn door, deep green accent wall, and — the worst-kept secret in the house — the best view of Okemo from any window.

Queen · Second floor
Black accent wall, abstract work hung on the original plaster, and the quietest corner of the second floor.

Queen + bonus room · Second floor
Slanted ceilings that earn the name. Through it is a bonus room with a twin bed and space for a child's air mattress — the room families always claim.

2 Twins · Second floor
Two matching twins. The kids' room, the friends' room, or the room whoever lost the coin toss ends up in.

What's here
The area
Ludlow is a real Vermont village that happens to sit at the foot of a Vail-owned mountain. Everything below is either a walk or a very short drive.

Ski Okemo, then walk home. Boots in the dryers, group in the hot tub, dinner around a table that seats eight. The mudroom was designed for exactly this evening.

Swimming holes at Buttermilk Falls, paddling on Echo Lake, the grill going on the deck, and the fire pit once it cools off. Ludlow in July is a genuine secret.

Foliage in southern Vermont peaks the first two weeks of October, and the drive over the Green Mountains is the reason people book a year out. Book early.
★★★★★“Ashleigh's place was perfect for my large group of 10. The house was beautiful, well stocked, and clean. We loved having the hot tub after a long day of skiing. The location was great, walkable to many restaurants and stores, and only a 5 minute drive to Okemo. Ashleigh was very kind and checked in on us.”

★★★★★“Gorgeous home perfect for our group of 11! We had a fantastic time and even though we had bad weather for spring skiing, it barely mattered because we enjoyed being in the house so much. Walking distance from town and a really wonderful stay.”

★★★★★“Ashleigh's place was just as described! It was a beautiful home with all the amenities we needed and perfect for our group. Ashleigh was very responsive and made sure everything was good. We had some ice issues on the driveway (to be expected in Vermont in February) and Ashleigh was right on it! We will definitely be back!”

Your hosts
We bought this place in 2022 and have been hosting ever since —37 reviews, a 4.89 rating, and a 100% response rate we're quietly proud of.
The mural in the dining room was painted for us by a local artist. The shotski on the wall says “Getting Lit in Ludlow.” Neither is subtle, and both are the point.
When you book direct you're messaging us, not a support queue. Ask us about the crib, the driveway, the best table at dinner — we answer fast.

It is — same house, same hosts, same photos. Booking here just skips the platform's guest service fee, which is usually around 14% of the stay.
The driveway fits up to three large SUVs, or four to five smaller cars. There's no street parking directly outside, so if your group is arriving in five or six cars, plan for a couple of them to use the municipal lot in the village — it's a short walk.
Keyless self check-in through the back door into the mudroom. We send your private door code and a full guest guide a few days before you arrive. Check-in is after 4:00 PM, check-out before 10:00 AM.
Yes. It's an eight-person Jacuzzi on the deck, serviced between every stay, and we keep dedicated hot tub towels in the mudroom.
Worth knowing before you book: this is a three-storey house and every bedroom is upstairs. The house was built in 1900 and we kept the original third-floor stair treads, which are steeper than modern stairs. There's a sturdy handrail, and we have safety gates available.
Not at the moment — we keep the house pet-free so that guests with allergies can book with confidence.
Between the three of us we have eight kids, so the house is genuinely set up for them. Crib, pack 'n play, high chair and stroller are all available on request — just ask when you book. Toys, children's dishes, a baby bath and safety gates are already here.
We take 50% at booking through Stripe, and the balance is due 30 days before check-in. You'll get a receipt immediately and a reminder before the balance runs.
